AccreditationsChildtown’s Program is build on the accreditation criteria of The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which emphasizes the quality and quantity of interaction between teacher/caregivers and children, developmentally appropriate activities and practice within a classroom designed for interactive and self-directed learning and discovery of information, and an overall spirit of positive communication, team effort, and commitment to quality. The Childtown adult-to-child ratios meet the NAEYC certification guidelines. Classroom observation times are a part of the daily routine for the administration. The Bright from the Start and NAEYC observation forms are used for these purposes. Peachtree Childtown is a not-for profit 501-C-3 corporation that is managed through a professional Board of Directors all of whom volunteer their time now and have in the past to originate and develop the philosophy, guidelines, and regulations of the center.
