Newsletters
Under the direction of one of our talented preschool teachers Kelly Owens,
Childtown publishes a monthly newsletter sharing classroom events and
school-wide celebrations. Newsletters are distributed to all of our families.
Below are some excerpts from recent publications:
Preschool I
Spring is here! March was full of adventure and learning for the children
in Preschool I. We are proud to announce that almost every child in the
class can spell and identify his or her name independently. The Easter
Celebration was a huge success. Thank you parents for your support.
Infant II
Fun! Fun! Fun! Our babies are having lots of fun everyday. They are gracefully
growing and are very quick learners. They hard learning how to toss balls
and we are enjoying seeing them pretend to read books in the cozy area.
They love to go outside and crawl, play in the sane, go on wagon rides
and observe the great outdoors.
Childtown Newsletter, April 2008
Preschool IV is very excited about
learning sounds and recognizing letters. This month the themes we will
be talking about are undersea animals, zoo animals, farm animals and wild
animals . . . Parents, please read to your children at least 20 minutes
a night and continue to work with them at home with their letters and
identifying their whole names.
Toddler II
April was an exciting month. In class we learned about insects and bugs,
nature and weather. The children loved looking and playing with the butterflies
in our science center. In may we will learn about undersea animals. This
month we introduced extended sensory play; we are playing with different
types of textured food ingredients such as rice and flour.

Toddler IA
Our truck project continues with more truck sightings on the playground.
We went on a special field trip to see the work trucks in our parking
lot. Painting has become an additional focus with various experiments
and explorations in painting. Most of all we’re extremely pleased
with the way our toddlers are engaging in the classroom environment each
day.
